A Woman's Journey through diabetes - one woman's blog.

Welcome to my life blog. Join me in as I figure out life with Type 2 Diabetes, diseases of old age and learning how to live life as though I have nothing to worry about.
While I don't have the answers to any of the big questions, nor am I a health care provider, I will spend time combing the internet for information on this disease, its effects on the body, and if I have a chance of reversing the damage already done and ignored for so many years.
If I think about it, I'll post links to recipes I've tried, make comments on how I may change something and post recipes that I have amended to use more natural sweeteners (i.e., dates, bananas, etc.). It is a journey I am willing to share and if you get anything out of it, use it. If you don't, that's ok too. We are all different and this disease affects each of us differently.
About Me
Janet's Story

I am the oldest of three girls and have been married for over 25 years. In my mid-50s, I'm finding that some mornings are rougher than others, and being motivated can be an issue. I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in my mid-thirties and I spent years ignoring it. Now, in my mid-fifties, I had to learn how to manage my diet and lifestyle to keep my condition under control. Through this blog, I hope to share my experiences, struggles and triumphs with others who are going through a similar journey.
